** Date with Grandma **

Last Thursday i went to a baseball game with my Grandma. She's a bigger Angel fan than i am. Hard to believe, huh? Anyway, she had a blast, McPhearson hit a two run shot to give the Angels the lead. She loved it. I love my grandma. I think i'm going to throw her a birthday party at my house this year. She's worth it. And i'll tell you why:

On the way out of the parking lot, (she has handicapped plates so we parked up front), she was haulin' ass! She walks with a cane and I HAD TROUBLE KEEPING UP WITH HER. So anyway we get to the car and we pull out and these two girls in the parking lot see me and say hi. I say hi back and think nothing of it. Then i hear them shout "Hey" from behind me and so i slow down . . . they ask us for a ride and i turn to Grandma and she gives me the "i don't care" look. "Hop in," i said. Once inside, one of them turns to grandma, noticing she's in her 70's and says, "Oh, is this a grandson/grandma date??" Immediately i start to blush and say, "Of course it is," in my coolest voice. (Sounds a lot like Urkel i suspect, but sounds different from inside my head, i assure you.) Anyway, long story short . . . they wanted to be dropped off at the bar about a block away. Not too far, but not a short walk, and we were out in like 3 minutes. (Fastest i've EVER gotten out of a baseball stadium parking lot.) While we pulled into the bar's parking lot, grandma turns to me and says, "Too bad you can't ditch your old grandma and go to the bar with these two ladies."

I love my grandma.
